Sustainability is not a goal.
It is our minimum requirement.
At Norco Interior, we see sustainability as a natural part of our business development. Through our product portfolio and our interior concepts, we work to increase resource efficiency, reduce environmental impact, and contribute to cost savings.

At Norco Interior, we believe that people build businesses by doing business in the “right” way. This principle guides all our actions—upholding our commitment to customers, treating employees with respect, delivering shareholder value, making a positive impact in the communities where we live and work, and taking action to reduce our impact on the environment.
Sustainable operations
Like ripples on the water, our decisions affect both people and the environment—every day. At Norco Interior, we have for many years worked actively to ensure that the products and services we deliver take the greatest possible account of both social and environmental sustainability throughout the entire life cycle.
We know we cannot change the world on our own—but together we can make a real difference. That is an opportunity we want to steward, in close cooperation with our customers and suppliers.
Together with our customers, we develop projects and products of high quality that also reflect our customers’ brand identity and values. With our suppliers, we collaborate to improve both social and environmental conditions where our products are manufactured. We strive for openness and maintain a transparent dialogue throughout the supply chain—with the goal of continuously driving improvement and supporting the suppliers that have come furthest in their sustainability work.
Our focus on sustainability helps us minimize negative impact while also contributing to a positive transition. For people. For the planet. And for the business.
Efficiency and environmental responsibility
At Norco Interior, we work to make the entire value chain more efficient—with fewer emissions and less waste. Through responsible choices of suppliers, raw materials, production methods, and transport, we contribute to a more sustainable result, from idea to finished interior. In our own operations, we have for many years pursued active environmental and sustainability work, both socially and ecologically. And we continue to drive development forward—with the goal of building a long-term sustainable business.
Sustainability requirements in the supplier chain
For us, it is crucial that sustainability runs through the entire value chain. That is why we set clear requirements that the materials and products we source are produced responsibly and sustainably. Through our Code of Conduct, we ensure that our suppliers follow clear guidelines—and depending on the relationship, maturity, and risk level, we follow up compliance using different methods and tools.
Energy-efficient production
As a manufacturer, we have a clear goal: to reduce our total energy consumption while increasing the share of renewable energy. This work is driven by both environmental consideration and cost efficiency. Our production facilities are continuously upgraded with modern systems to reduce energy use and climate impact. In 2023, for example, we installed solar panels at our production unit in Ciechanów, Poland.
Sustainable transport
Transport accounts for a large share of our indirect emissions. We work actively to reduce these without compromising efficiency. Through local presence, smart logistics, and better transport alternatives, we reduce both emissions and costs—to the benefit of our customers. Being able to produce and deliver locally is an important factor in our business decisions and contract negotiations.

Working environment and employees
We strive to provide a safe and healthy working environment where no one risks being injured or becoming ill at work. Our goal is a safe and sustainable operation where we eliminate risks and minimize work environment-related challenges. We see our employees as our most important asset. Attracting, engaging, and developing the right people is crucial for our long-term success. That is why we aim to be a responsible employer that both attracts and retains competent, committed people.
We know that motivation, job satisfaction, and involvement are essential for our employees to be able to develop with us—and for us as a group to continue growing. That is why we actively work with skills development and career opportunities for our employees.
A systematic work environment approach
Our work environment efforts are based on continuous analysis, surveys, and risk assessments, followed by concrete measures and follow-up. We work preventively in close collaboration with employees and representatives. The focus is on risk awareness, safe behavior, and good communication, especially during organizational changes. We have a shared framework within the group and also require our suppliers to comply with applicable local work environment regulations.
Workplace safety
We strive to create a safe working environment where no one is injured. Safety equipment must always be available, and clear procedures must exist for all situations relating to health and safety—who does what, how, and when. All accidents, incidents, and risk observations must be reported, analyzed, and lead to improvements. Our goal is that no workplace accidents should occur. We identify risks related to fire, chemicals, machine failure, and power outages, and have evacuation and response plans in place to minimize harm.

Business ethics and human rights
In addition to the requirements we place on our suppliers, we have a clear internal framework that governs how we act in our own operations. All employees at Norco Interior sign our Code of Conduct when they are hired—an undertaking based on respect for human rights and a high ethical standard.
We have zero tolerance for all forms of bribes, kickbacks, and corruption. Read more about our anti-corruption work under the heading Anti-corruption.
Human rights
Norco Interior respects human rights and works to take responsibility across all related areas. We strive to identify, prevent, and ensure that negative consequences for human rights do not occur in any part of our value chain, and to take direct action if any are identified. Human rights are primarily governed through our Code of Conduct and our Supplier Code of Conduct. The main headings in these policies and codes are briefly summarized below.
Freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining
All employees at Norco Interior have the right to freely form, join, or refrain from joining a trade union of their choice and have the right to collective bargaining.
Forced and compulsory labor
All work must be voluntary. Norco Interior does not permit any form of forced or compulsory labor. All employees have the right to leave their employment in accordance with contracts or local laws.
Child labor
No forms of child labor or other exploitation of children may occur in Norco Interior’s value chain. Neither Norco Interior nor our suppliers employ labor without completion of primary school or under the age of 15. Any young employees under 18 may neither perform hazardous or heavy work nor work night shifts.
Workplace and compensation
Norco Interior and our suppliers must provide a working environment that is healthy, safe, and in accordance with applicable local laws for all employees. Norco Interior works systematically with physical and psychological health and safety. Risk assessments for accidents are carried out regularly, and both incidents and accidents are reported and followed up. Employees are entitled to equal pay for equal work, and Norco Interior works to ensure reasonable and fair wages and compensation in line with prevailing norms in the locations where the group operates.
Discrimination
Diversity among Norco Interior employees is encouraged and discrimination is actively counteracted. Norco Interior and our suppliers must offer all employees equal opportunities (i.e., personal development, further training, salary level) and no one—regardless of ethnicity, color, gender, sexual orientation, nationality, parental status, marital status, pregnancy, religion, political opinion, ethnic background, social origin, social status, age, union membership, or disability—may be discriminated against. Harassment in the form of physical or psychological abuse, as well as any type of threats, is strictly prohibited. Employees at Norco Interior share a collective responsibility to achieve this.
Anti-corruption
Norco Interior’s reputation for honesty, integrity, and accountability must be maintained, and all forms of bribery, extortion, or corruption of any kind are not tolerated. Norco Interior works actively to ensure that this does not occur within the group. The term corruption refers to the abuse of a position of trust for personal or company gain, for example through the use of bribes. It is prohibited to offer, promise, or give, as well as to request, accept a promise of, or receive bribes. A bribe is a gift or other benefit that can influence another person, as part of their employment or duties, to improperly favor the giver. Norco Interior employees may not offer, give, receive, or request gifts, services, entertainment, or other rewards that:
- Violate accepted business practice.
- Have an unreasonable value (not exceeding the equivalent of €45).
- Consist of money, securities, cash loans, or other types of personal payments in the form of discounts, commissions, bonuses, or fees.
- Consist of purely leisure or holiday trips.
- Violate existing laws.
- Other rewards that, due to their value or other relevant circumstances, are typically likely to improperly influence the recipient in the performance of their professional duties, or otherwise risk embarrassing the company or the employee if they become public knowledge.
This does not prevent Norco Interior employees from receiving or offering promotional gifts designed to maintain and promote good business relationships with customers and other business partners—provided that such gifts are modest, openly accepted and offered, and otherwise comply with this Code of Conduct. The management of each subsidiary is responsible for developing appropriate guidelines and procedures for employees regarding representation and gifts.

Consumer interests
When dealing with customers and end consumers, Norco Interior acts according to fair business, marketing, and advertising principles. Norco Interior also ensures that all goods and services provided meet agreed and legal standards.
Competition
Norco Interior conducts its business in accordance with applicable laws and regulations and refrains from entering into illegal competition-restricting agreements.
Export control
Norco Interior shall comply with all applicable export control regulations, including not acting in violation of, or with persons involved in, economic sanctions.
